Enrolled in show classes? You’ll receive an email with more details for the Fall. In the Spring you’ll receive an email with a Show Info Google Doc & Visual Schedule. Bookmark them and let us know if you need us to email them again.
We have two semesters that together create a full school-year experience.
You don’t need to take both semesters to get a lot out of Garden Players, but we strongly suggest it. We love being a theater home where students return year after year—first as students, then as assistants, and sometimes returning as professional guest artists!
Fall Semester begins in October. You may start with 1–3 paid trial classes, as long as there is space available.
Winter/Spring Semester begins in late January. New students hoping to join for the second semester should join us for the three January classes leading into the new semester. This gives them time to get comfortable with the class before we jump into rehearsing our May musical.
Join us in the Fall to build acting, singing, improvisation and performance skills—and help us begin developing the creative world we’ll bring to the stage in May!
If taking a trial class, make sure to list the class you will be taking as a trial class, so we know what you’ll be trying.
2026–2027
Semester 1: October–January
13 Tuesday classes / 14 Friday classes + January Concert.
Our final December class is Sharing Day—bring someone to watch class!
Playwriting and Songwriting & Singing are 12-session classes and do not require a December Sharing Day or Sunday musical rehearsals.
Semester 2: Late January–May
13 Tuesday classes / 12 Friday classes + Sunday rehearsals February–May + May 21–23 Show Weekend.
New second-semester students are accepted if room allows and should join us for the three January classes leading into Semester 2 so they can adjust to the class before we jump into rehearsing our May musical.

Performance Call Times
Rising Stars: Arrive 1 hour before show time for an extra tech rehearsal with sound.
GP1 & GP2: Arrive 30 minutes before show time (or as directed for proper costume preparation).
Arrive with costume items and make-up, with your hair done and ready to perform. We will have helpers, but the more prepared you are when you arrive, the better!
All actors perform in two shows: one Saturday performance and one Sunday performance.
