Pedagogy

With over 16 years of teaching experience, Betina leads students to enjoy ear training, sight reading and writing, rhythm compositions and training, as well as professionalism through focus, energy, body language, and practice techniques. Many inspirations include Kodaly and Viola Spolin techniques.

Student Achievements

Admission to Frank Sinatra H.S. and LaGuardia H.S. as a voice and drama majors. Admission to middle schools, high schools, and colleges. Performing at Carnegie Hall, 2nd place winner of the American Protege competition. Making it to the 3rd callback for the role of Matilda in the Broadway show, down to 50 kids out of over 1,000 kids who auditioned.) Appearing in a commercial with pop artist Adele during the Grammys, 2012! Singing the national anthem at the US Open!

Private Lesson Studio Equipment

Chairs, music stands, instrument stands, classical guitar cushion, classical footstool, piano, keyboard, organ, guitar amps, guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, drum set. Students usually provide their own instruments but it’s possible to borrow an instrument during the lesson at the studio on the first lesson.
